septic pumping

Regular septic tank pumping maintains the proper function of your septic system and prevents costly backups or environmental contamination.

Mound Pumping

Mound systems are commonly used in areas with high water tables or poor soil conditions. They require specialized pumping services to remove accumulated waste and ensure the system's continued efficiency.

Holding Tank Pumping

For properties without a traditional septic system, holding tank pumping provides a safe and responsible solution for the removal and disposal of wastewater.

3 Things To Know About Residential Septic Tanks

1Pump your Tank Every 3 Years, Minimum

The septic system maintenance code, Wisconsin Administrative Code SPS 383, requires maintenance every 3 years on all private onsite wastewater treatment systems (POWTS). Each homeowner is required to have their septic system pumped and or inspected by a licensed service provider who will then file the county maintenance report.

We recommend pumping and inspecting all components of your septic or mound system every 3 years per law. More frequent pumping is sometimes necessary depending on:

  1. Number of people in the household
  2. The amount of water usage
  3. The amount of solid waste generated
  4. The overall condition of the mound or drain field

2Not Everything Can or Should Be Flushed

We highly recommend the following items not be flushed into your septic system:

  • hair
  • condoms
  • tampons
  • facial tissue/paper towels
  • baby wipes
  • paint
  • fats/oils/grease
  • vegetable peelings
  • any uneaten food particles
  • coffee grounds
  • cigarette butts
  • plastic wrappers
  • dental floss
  • motor oil
  • any petroleum-based chemicals

3Garbage Disposals Private Septic Systems

Installing a garbage disposal in a home with a private septic system introduces additional solid waste and organic matter into the system, potentially leading to clogs, backups and premature system failure.
